Millions lack access to adequate healthcare, especially people with disabilities and low-income families living in underserved communities.
Rising costs and systemic barriers push vulnerable populations out of safe, accessible housing β threatening stability and dignity.
Disconnection and despair weaken civic life. People feel unheard, unseen, and left behind by institutions that should serve them.
About Us
DAPH builds the power of people with disabilities and under-resourced communities in urban, rural, and suburban areas to win change through issue fights and elections. We are a coalition of grassroots organizers united in the work of building a bigger "we."
Since our founding, we have won material improvements for millions β including expanded healthcare access, accessible housing protections, and stronger community mental health programs.

These children wake up before sunrise and walk to school on empty stomachs. Their parents love them deeply β but poverty has left them without options. There is no money for school fees. No money for books. Sometimes, no money for food. Yet still, these children come. They sit on broken chairs or bare floors, hungry and hopeful. They haven't given up. We can't give up on them.
Deep in an impoverished community, hundreds of children gather under makeshift roofs β walls of bamboo and thatch, floors of red earth. They have uniforms. They have the will. What they don't have is enough.
Their parents are not absent β they are exhausted. Every coin that comes in must first go to rent, to water, to survival. School fees go unpaid. Textbooks go unbought. Children go hungry through the school day, struggling to concentrate on lessons their minds are too weak to hold.
Some carry their belongings in plastic bags because they cannot afford a backpack. Some share a single chair. Some come barefoot. They come anyway. Because they believe education is their way out β if only someone would open the door.
That someone is you. A donation of any size funds a school term, buys supplies, provides a meal, and tells a child: you are worth investing in.
Donate Now"These children are not asking for the world β only for the chance to learn, to grow, and to become someone. Right now, poverty is the only thing standing in the way."β DAPH Field Team, Community Visit 2026
